Nearly 9 billion cents were minted in 1976 so they're about as rare as beach pebbles. Check your pocket change - they should still turn up.
The only ones worth more than a penny would be uncirculated or proof versions, and even there they'd have to be extremely well-struck (e.g. MS64 or higher) to be worth more than a dollar at retail.
