Please check your pocket change. These are very common circulation coins. About 8.5 BILLION were minted at Philadelphia (no mint mark) and Denver ("D"), so anything that you find in change has no added value.

Even in uncirculated condition, values range from a dime to maybe 50 cents for all but the most spectacularly perfect specimens.

If you have a 1977-S cent it's a proof coin worth about $1 if still in its original packaging. If it's been removed from the package, its value will be reduced to a few cents.
