"Golden" but not real gold. it's brass. That fact has been all over the media for years.

Worth $1. A dealer will sell you a nice uncirculated example for $1.50 or $2.

There are about 1.1 billion of them just from the year 2000, and they're still being minted.

Also, to clarify things, it's normally called a Sacagawea dollar.

The color is from the manganese brass outer layer not gold, and it's just a dollar.
