Assuming you found it in change and it has a P or D mintmark, it's only worth face value. If the coin has an S mintmark it's a proof coin that was removed from its case and spent. That would destroy its collector value, unfortunately. If you're lucky enough to have a silver proof (no red-brown copper edge) you could at least sell it for scrap.
