what is value
Prior to the introduction of euro notes in 2002, Greek currency was denominated in drachmas rather than dollars. The smallest denomination note issued was 10 drachmas in the 1950s; it and other lower-value notes were eventually replaced with coins. There's a set of images available at http://www.geocities.com/greekcurrency/en_1954_2001.htm if it's any assistance in determining what note you're referring to.
