Here is some info for your JC Higgins Model 29. I own one and have loved it for decades. I have seen them go for between $50 and $250 depending on condition and buyer/seller.

The Higgins 101.1 was made by Savage as a Model 94. It's only value is as a shooter.

That's not a serial number- it is a model number. Made prior to 1968. serial numbers not required- and cannot be dated for that reason. Sorry.
