These marlin rifles were only made from 1980-1983.I had one and found it thumped pretty good. While some books say the value is between 150-400 dollars,I know from experience that these rifles are going for 500-600 dollars easy depending on condition.I handloaded for my rifle and still have the brass and bullets.Even these are getting hard to find today.
first is a Winchester or a marlin? what calibre? what shape? condition is all important in gun values
The Winchester Company introduced the 32 Calibre rifle in 1873. For it they created four different types of bullets including the Winchester 32 special.

Winchester has never made a model 39.Could be reffering to a Marlin model 39 lever action rifle in .22LR?
Marlin Model Golden 39A
The .243. It's basically a necked down .308 Winchester.
Your marlin was made in 1961-aug.1962.The model 336 marlins are running for between 200-350 dollars depending on condition of the rifle.
Its probably a marlin model 80,some were also made by winchester.
Is this a trick question? I thought Marlin made the model 336. I didn't know Winchester made one.
If you indeed have a Marlin model 1894,not a Winchester then the time frame of production would be between 1910-1912.The Marlin model 1894 rifle was made from 1894-1934.I believe that your rifle will be closer to the year 1912 maybe 1913 at the latest.
I am interested in this topic as well. I bought a 375 [Winchester] calibre Marlin lever action rifle in 1981. To my memory it is a model 336. Have only just begun researching its' origins and I couldn't even find a reference to it at Marlins' website. I did find an intersting article at the URL AnswerI am trying to find information on the .375 Winchester made by Marlin as well. To my understanding the 375S was produced only from 1980 to 1983.
