I can't speak to the value of the 16 gauge, but in August of 2005 I purchased a very similar gun in the 20 gauge and was happy to pay 600 for it. For me there was some personal value.
Your shotgun which was made from 1997-2005 retailed for 1,659 dollars. While it has lost some value I can say that your shotgun brand new unfired will be valued at 1,395 dollars in it,s current state of unfired condition.
300$
Current prduction since 2005: $400 - $1,200 older production varies greatly, could be much more (see blue book of gun values)

They were made in the 1950s. In 2005, Sears instituted a safety recall on their bolt action shotguns in that model. This is a non-repairable problem. Sears was reported to be offering a $50 gift card in exchange for the bolt from these shotguns (missing bolt makes them nonshootable)
I have seen the model 322A sell from as much as 290.00 to 315.00 although value in schwing 2005 catalog was 175 in exc condition 125 in v.g.
