Unless the coin is in mint-state condition with a good golden color, or it's a proof coin, or if it's verified as being of a particular variety (such as the specially burnished dollars given to the obverse's designer, Glenna Goodacre), it's not worth much more than face value, due to the abundance of them in circulation and the low demand thereof.

Remember, the coins are made of brass rather than gold, and don't contain any precious metals at all.
