The 24v series D model is a variety of guns it could be a .22 cal. through a .357 caliber on top with a 20 gauge on the bottom so the value varies but I have a .222 cal. over a 20 gauge and it is valued at $260 in mint condition and $200 in good condition
These are valued between 375-550 dollars depending on overall condition.
According to the 26th edition of the blue book of gun values. A model 24V in 100% condition is valued at $425 where in 60% condition it is valued at $200.
IN good shape about $150.00
I was/am researching info on my own Savage 24V .30-30 over 20 ga, and came across a site that stated the 24V was only manufactured during 1967. I will try to back-track my history/bookmarks to see if I can find the site again. -- Actually, no. -- The 24V guns, in various configurations, were made through about 1989. This gun was made in the late 1970's.
This model of Savage was made from 1967-1989.If your Savage has the under lever opening in front of the trigger Guard, then it was made from 1980-1989.If not then from 1967-1979.
Savage Arms is the manufacturer of Springfield Shotguns.
Can't speak to the value but I received mine in 1966. Still works.
D. J. Savage has written: 'The glass lady'
