It's John Adams with the date 1797-1801 on the front not Jefferson. Also they're not gold . The outer layer of Brass gives them that color. the date they were struck(2007) is on the edge of the coin along with the mint mark and motto. It's just one of the Presidential dollar coin series that started in 2007 and will end in 2016. Many of these coins are in circulation today. And it's just a dollar spend it.
