Usually mod 94s made after 1964 are considered "shooters" rather than collectibles (something to do w/ Win being unable to maintain the needed cash flow if they didn't automate more rather than relying on so much hand work to maintain their previously high standards - sound familiar? Only a matter of time 'til they move their "help desk to New Delhi, eh?). Nevertheless, your piece is still very valuable, just not so much to a serious collector. (I gave up collecting Winchesters in 1984 and have been much better off - Now I'm even allowed to walk around the grounds unescorted ! ;-) A sorta-kinda rule of thumb is that, relatively speaking w/ regard to the grade (condition similar to NRA/Bluebook/etc. values), a shooter should bring anywhere from 20 to 30-35% less than you paid for it (or for what a current model is going for in the gun section of Walmart or your local neighborhood gun shop. Another way to estimate value is to find out from some local hunters what they'd pay for yours, or shop around and see what other's are asking for similar models. Your mileage may vary depending on where you are, who may want to buy it and how badly they want it, and of course what you are willing to accept from a willing buyer. Value is perceived, or, like here in WV, it's all relative ! ;-) -j.
In this model of Winchester rifle, there is no difference in value between the round or octagon barrel.
your rifle is worth between 350.oo and 600.00
I can say that A Winchester model 1894 lever action rifle 26in barrel was priced at 19.50 in Winchester's June,1896 Catalog. A carbine with the 20in barrel was priced at 17.50, a round barreled 26in rifle was 18.00 dollars, and the take down model was priced at 25.00 dollars. I can add that the Sears catalog from 1900 (reprint) lists the round or octagonal barreled 30 WCF for $14.75.
The Winchester model 1906 rifle was made with a 20in.round barrel, tube magazine, and shotgun style buttplate.Production ended in 1932.The Winchester model 62A was the replacement for the model 1906 and had a 23in.barrel in a round or octagon design, and was a modern version of the model 1890 rifle.this rifle was made from 1932-1958.
To get a accurate value of your Winchester you will need to include the following information. The model number of your Winchester, the serial number(already included),the barrel length, type of barrel(round or octagon) the amount of finish remaining, and overall condition of the rifle including the bore.
Cannot be answered without the serial number included.
According to the Blue Book, it is worth $450, unless it is marked "1 of 300". Then it lists for $2,750.
