It's just a dime, spend it.
As of 2014 the estimated value of a 1988 P dime in the U.S. is 22 cents. The value of coins does fluctuate by demand and the market.
D: minted in Denver. P: minted in Philadelphia.
It's a common dime still found in circulation, it is 10 cents.
They have to be dimes from 2000..
At present, it's worth about $2.25.
It's still worth exactly 10 cents.
It's a common date, currently worth about $2.
? i never saw a dime with a p under the queen.... i dont think so If there isn't usually a P under the queen's head, it certainly has value. You are just unable to use the dime like a normal dime (if that makes any sense).
San Francisco did not have a over date for a 1942 dime only P & D had them
Because it was plated for use in jewelry or something similar. It has no added value.
Your coin is worth face value only; hundreds of millions were minted. Note that the coin is simply a 1965 dime, not 1965-P. The P mint mark wasn't used on US dimes until 1980, and no US coins of any denomination had mint marks from 1965 to 1967.
Please post a new question with the bill's date and what letter if any is next to the date. There were no $5 bills with a "P" series letter; "F" was the highest letter ever used and that was in the 1928 series.
