There were several model variations of the model 99 in 1950 and a variety of chamberings, some more valuable than others.
The most common model 99 of that time was the 99-EG and its value depends on condition and caliber. Value is from $75 in poor condition to $900 in excellent condition according to Blue Book Value.
in gunshops in America in 2010 I see EG models in 90% condition with price tags fo 600 to $650 US, if you want to use that as a guide. most are in 300 Savage.
The sp is a designation showing the barrel is proofed for smokeless powder use.
