What is the value of a nickel plated Winchester cowboy commemorative model 94?
10-500 USD or so
First your serial number indicates that your Winchester model 62 was made in the year 1942.The model 62 was never produced by Winchester with a Nickel plated finish from the factory. These gallery guns were used through out the country at circus,s and thats where the term gallery gun comes from(shooting galleries).at some point in time a circus owner or private individual had your model 62 nickel plated.
What can you tell me about Winchester model 1906 serial 571791 It has some nickel plated parts Thanks Bert?
I can tell you that by your serial number your Winchester model 1906 rifle was made in the year 1919. I can also say that this model was made from 1906-1935,with a total production figure of 731,852.I must say Bert that I am not aware of any nickel plated parts for the model 1906,but that does not mean that they were not made. They also could have been Nickel plated at any time after production also.
Being made during that time span I am not sure if iron will hold a nickel plating.I am surprised that you would want to destroy the collection value of such a early made Winchester rifle by attempting to Nickel plate the barrel of this rifle in the first place. All Winchester collectors would be willing to pay a handsome price for a original Winchester model 1866 rifle.
Trying to find the value of a Winchester model 94 30-30 octagon barrel Theodore roosevelt commemorative also has stamped on the chrome or nickel plated receiver 26th president 1901-1909?
What is the value of a Harrington Richards 22 caliber pistol nickel plated pearl handle Abilene KS Commemorative Centennial model?
Winchester did a lot of custom work for customers they considered "special", but unless you've got some sort of paperwork from Winchester, you're going to have a hard time proving it was done at the factory. As engraving is done by hand, and one piece at a time, even if the pattern matches, if you or Winchester doesn't have some sort of documentation, the work will be in question.
If the dates are 1776-1976 your coin is not gold, it's gold-plated. Millions were struck in copper-nickel to honor the U.S. Bicentennial. They're only worth face value to $1.15, except for uncirculated or proof versions. The fact that your coin is plated makes it an altered coin with no extra value, unfortunately.
