There are 3 major varieties of 1806 U.S. half cent. It's not possible to determine which one you have without an in-person inspection, so it would be best to have it examined by a dealer or appraiser.
Numismedia lists approximate retail values as of 02/2009 ranging from $60 to around $2000 depending on variety and condition, so even if there is an appraisal fee (unlikely) it would be worthwhile to have your coin checked out.

Note that the Large or Small 6 is talking about the size of the "6" in the 1806 date. The Stems or Stemless is talking about whether or not there are stems coming out of the bottom of the wreath on the reverse of the coin.
