Rutherford B. Hayes was the 19th President of the United States, serving from 1877 to 1881. The Hayes dollar coin was minted in 2011, and is worth one dollar.
Assuming the coin is circulated, the 1877-S Liberty Seated quarter is a higher mintage common coin. For an accurate assessment of value the coin needs to be seen and graded. Most coins show heavy wear. In general retail values for low grade coins are $22.00-$30.00, better grade are $36.00-$64.00 and coins showing almost no wear run from $150.00-$240.00. Values are a market average and only for coins in collectible condition, coins that are bent, corroded, scratched, used as jewelery or have been cleaned have far less value if any to a collector or dealer

Your coin is plated. The US has never made a standard half dollar in gold. Unfortunately the plating has destroyed any significant collector value the coin may have had.

1877 is not a rare date for Seated Liberty dimes. In well-worn condition, it's worth about $10 -- if only very lightly worn, about $20 -- and a nice uncirculated one is worth about $150
No general-circulation silver dollars were minted from 1874 to 1877. If you have a coin that says TRADE DOLLAR on the back, please see the Related Question.
Susan B. Anthony did not appear on any US coin until 1979 and only 2 1877 LIBERTY HEAD Half Union coins were struck and both are in the Smithsonian and considered priceless

If this coin is indeed this year and in good or better condition. This coin can be worth a lot of money. Even in the thousands.
The date 2011 is on the edge of the coin. A Ulysses S. Grant presidential dollar is just that, a dollar.
