A 1885 $10 coin, also called an eagle or Coronet coin, is mostly valuable for its gold content in all but uncirculated grades. As of 10/2011 that's about $1000 but could change with market fluctuations.
If the coin is uncirculated, check the back of the coin to see if there's a small mint mark letter. It may be blank or there may be an S.
