Your coin is called a "Barber" dime after its designer Charles Barber. Look on the back of the coin to see if there's a small mint mark letter. It may be blank or there may be an O or S.

Numismedia lists the following approximate retail values as of 09/2014:

No mint mark (Philadelphia):

Very worn condition - $4

Moderately worn - $8

Slightly worn - $13

Almost no wear - $71

Uncirculated - $120 to $4,450 depending on quality

"O" mint mark (New Orleans):

Very worn - $73

Moderately worn - $300

Slightly worn - $360

Almost no wear - $676

Uncirculated - $990 to $18,530

"S" mint mark (San Francisco):

Very worn - $19

Moderately worn - $94

Slightly worn - $120

Almost no wear - $325

Uncirculated - $540 to $17,550

DISCLAIMER: The retail values quoted are the best available as of the date shown, but may vary significantly due to changes in the precious metals market. Also the wholesale (buying) price of a coin will be less than the selling (retail) price. A reputable coin dealer will be able to give a more accurate valuation based on inspection of the coin.
