Firearms collectors don't pay a premium for "errors". Check Walmart or Gander Mount, etc., for the least expensive new 20 gauge of the same type (single shot, double barrel, bolt, action, etc.) and figure that your used gun is worth 1/2 to 2/3 as much, depending on its condition.
50-150 USD
on the bottom of the receiver
You may find a reproduction on E-bay.They are listing alot of older model shotgun and rifle owners manuals. You could also look at gunbroker.com.
The Savage 820 model is an older gun that was made long before the current accessories. No one ever made any after-market accessories for this model, it is not noted the year of manufacture.
I believe this is really a Savage/Stevens 311. If so, this number is probably on the right side of the receiver, or if it is a bit older it may be marked 5000 or 5100. These models were manufactured from about 1920 until 1989.
try: SAVAGE SHOTGUN.COM
best bet for older gun parts is gunbroker.com they sell most everything gun related
If this is a American Arms recent import shotgun from Spain, then the value would be between 400-500 dollars for a shotgun which is in pristine condition. If this is a older made Spanish shotgun, then I would need the makers name, overall condition and barrel length,to have any hopes of helping you.
It would be appoximatley 54 years old. Possibly a little older or less, but around that area.
pretty hard for savage to be jay lethals son.. Savage is white...and about 30 years older
No. Anyone who knows even a little bit about shotguns should be able to tell you the gauge by looking at it. But an older gun may have short chambers and if you intend to shoot it you should have have a gunsmith measure them.
depending on condition and collectibility it should fetch between 200 and 400$ More than likely your looking at 250 - 300$. The newer Savage 24s made with tenlite(?) plastic type stocks are condsidered to be of lesser quality than the older wood stocks from the 60's and 70's. I would suggest looking on gunbroker dot com and seeing what similar type 24's are selling for. The Savage 24 has quite a following and is becoming increasingly hard to find, I wouldn't trade mine for anything.
