PVC valve
It's on top of the valve cover. It has a rubber hose leading back to the air cleaner. Take it off the the valve cover (it pulls right off) and the hose and clean it out with copeous amount of spray carburetor cleaner. Then put it back like you found it.
The Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve is located in the valve cover. The PCV system consists of a hose leading from the valve cover to the intake manifold and a fresh air hose from the air cleaner assembly to the rocker arm cover. from the Haynes Repair Manual 1998-2002
it is on the valve cover. tubed over to the air cleaner
Loose, broken, or worn valve train component. Remove the valve cover to find the problem.

Just need a new valve cover gasket. it's an easy fix.
its the hose coming off of the valve cover that's the egr valve
The valve cover gasket is damaged. Needs to be replace.
The PCV valve is in the passenger side valve cover of the engine with a hose leading to the intake.

PCV valve is connected to the valve cover, the one closer to the radiator. You can identify it by tracking a vacuum hose coming out of the cover.
On top of the valve cover there is a hose coming out of it and into the air intake manifold. Removing the hose from the valve cover side will expose the PCV valve.
