Roman Catholic AnswerThe Catholic Church is the Mystical Body of Christ and is here on earth to bring people to Him, and, through the sacraments, Him to the people. As far as medical procedures are concerned, the Church does not normally rule on them except insofar as there is a problem and the procedure (or substance, in this instance) would go against the revelation of Our Blessed Lord. For instance fetal stem cell therapy involve the killing of human beings to harvest the stem cells, thus fetal stem cell therapy would be immoral. PolyHeme is based on normal red blood cells and does not involve harm or morals.

If a non-Catholic man married a Catholic woman in a Catholic church and the marriage ends in divorce how does the Catholic Church view this marriage and can the man later become a Catholic?

He can certainly become Catholic. Divorce does not prevent one from participating in the Church in any way. The Church sees him as continuing to be involved in a nonsacramental, but valid, marriage. What he cannot do is to *remarry* since that would be adultery in the eyes of the Church.

How can you and your husband convert to the Catholic Church if he has been married before in a Methodist church?

Talk to the priest at your local Catholic church about having your husband's first marriage annulled. While the Catholic Church does not recognise civil divorce, it does offer annulments where it believes the circumstances are justified. Since the Catholic Church regards marriage as a binding commitment, an annulment has the effect of saying that, in the view of the Church, the marriage never really happened.

Neither the Catholic church nor Christianity at large consider Sunday to be the Sabbath. Differing denominations have differing views on why we have church gatherings on Sundays, but we don't do it out of a mistaken view on the Sabbath.
