Possibly, with the exceptions of 21st century armor (tanks) like the M1 Abrams, etc. Nearly ALL tanks, prior to the new ones were traditionally weakest on their turret tops, which is traditionally the thinest armor. Again, excepting the newer 21st century tanks, nearly any anti-tank weapon (RPG's, LAW/M-72 66mm Light Anti-Armor Weapons, etc.) will penetrate any turret, any hull, any front slope (where the driver sits). The diameter of an RPG or LAW hole is about the size of dime. Small hole, but it's the molten metal and fire that goes off inside the turret that causes the casualties and ammunition to go off. Television, and armchair generals are continuously down playing the M4 Sherman as a poor tank. Most of those people, rest assured, probably were NOT tank crewman in any army. Always consider the source. The M4 Sherman was amongst the best tanks in the world. The US built approximately 50,000 of them. One does not build that many tanks if they are lousy tanks! The weakest point of any mobile land machine is it's moving parts that allow it to move...the wheels, or in this case for the tank, it's tracks. The tank's engine is called the "power plant." It's protected by armor; the tracks aren't. Therefore, the weakest part of an M4 Sherman tank is it's tracks. If any tank has a gasoline engine, that could also be considered a weak point. Diesel's the best fuel, it takes alot to make that fuel burn.
