the same weight as it would be on earth (the mass of an object won't change) but since the effect of gravity is less in outer space it will seem light as air just because there will no not as much gravity pushing down on it.

-- When you're traveling in space, either your propulsion system

(rocket motors) is propelling or else it isn't.

-- If your engines are burning, then you're accelerating. The apparent

weight of people and things inside depends on the acceleration. If you

happen to be accelerating at "one Gee" ... 9.8 meters per second2, the

same as the acceleration of gravity on Earth ... then each kilogram of

anything inside appears to weigh 2.205 pounds.

-- If your engines are not burning, then you're in 'free fall'. No person or

thing inside has any weight at all.
