I own one of these models myself. They were manufactured for only a few years(late 80s to early 90s). From what I've seen, you can expect this model to run at $600+ in excellent condition, which is rare. If it's in good condition, roughly $450 and no more than $500. Fair condition $350-400. Anything less, you can expect it to run around between the $200-350 range depending on the amount of visible wear. It's tough to find one in anything better than "good" condition, so take care of it. The price on this bass is bound to rise in good or better condition.
The Peavey official site has the manual. (see the related link)
There are many places someone can purchase a peavey bass guitar. Most commonly, people purchase peavey bass guitars at their local guitar store. While purchasing at a store may be common, it is not always convenient. The most convenient way to purchase a peavey bass guitar would be through their website online. If you decide that you want to try out the guitar before purchasing their website has a dealer locator.
One of the best places to find information on Peavey bass guitars is to visit the manufacturer's website. Other websites where one can find information are Guitar Center, Gear 4 Music and Musician's Friend.
No they don't , i use a markbass head and a peavey 4x10 cab
All depends on what you're going for. If it were me, I'd get my hands on some sort of vintage 70s head or something, because Peavey cabs are quality. I do not recommend modern Peavey heads though, they've been declining in recent years. With bass heads, if it's not Ampeg or Hartke, you should probably go older. Also, this is opinion. I play in a hard rock band, this would be ideal for me.
marshall, fender, peavey, line 6 are all major brands with quality reputations.
Fender, Gibson, G&L, Rickenbacker, and Peavey have models that are made in the US (but not all). Carvin and Spector are made in the US.
I just bought a Peavey Tracer Custom '89, HSS, Kahler double locking trem, factory case from Musician's Friend used gear online. Paid $200 including shipping...They can be found from around $175 to $300...They ar very inexpensive, and very very good quality guitars, all are US made. They are very versatile and great players guitars for dirt cheap. I now own 5 Peavey guitars and a Peavey bass, along with 4 Peavey amps. They are like finding gold. mark
depending on condition. I would say a range from $800- to- $2400.
The American series Precision Bass or American series Jazz Bass as well as some others. Check out Fender.com .
For the price, yes. I have both Peavey Millenium AC BXP (active) and Peavey Grind (passive). Both are foreign made, but play very well. I am a relatively new player. For 5 string, I think the Millenium does fairly well, though I like the B on the Grind 5 string better. From what I've heard, if you've got the money, buy US made, but for the price, these are decent.
what is the value of an alembic excel 5 string bass
