Did Hitler say to conquer a nation first disarm its citiznes?

Supposedly he did say it, although there's no concrete proof that he did. It was listed in a book of "secret" quotations that says he said it in 1942, while Germany was in the process of trying to conquer Russia; but the book apparently offers no proof, and there is no Nazi document saying he said it. The Nazis had a strange fetish for documenting almost everything. However, the context, if you read the entire quotation, is that he was talking about conquering a foreign country- that is, Germany conquering, for example, Poland, and taking weapons from Polish citizens to curtail their resistance to German rule. He wasn't talking about disarming citizens of Nazi Germany. Quite to the contrary, he issued a law in 1938 that actually expanded gun rights for German citizens.
