It depends, the Yamaha SHO in the 80's and 90's is 143, about the same for the V8 SHO. As for the new 3.5 Twin Turbo SHO i havent been able to find that out, but i play Forza Motorsports 4 and the car is in the game and the game seems to be pretty accurate, so ill estamate the new one is about 160-165
1989-1995 = 143
1996-1999 = 145 ish
2010-2013 = ?, estamate 150+
The speed limiter is set at 112mph for base models and 141mph for the SHO.
On a 2010 Ford Taurus SHO : The Mass Air flow Sensor is INSIDE the top plastic section of the engine air filter housing
most likely the the lincoln becAuse they do have more horse power but the sho does have a chance but if u had like a 90 sho then im almost positive the sho would give that ls a fight Actually even though the 2000 Lincoln has a 3.9 liter 257 HP engine and 5 speed transmission and weighs only about 100 lbs more than the 1996 Taurus, SHO, the Taurus stock does 1/4 mile in 15.7 seconds, the Lincoln stock does it in 16.0 seconds, the Taurus's top speed is 143 MPH, the Lincoln 140. So in spite of one less gear and about 22 less HP, the Taurus SHO is still faster both in the quarter mile and the top speed, and it is a hell of a lot nimbler. The Taurus does a better job of getting what power it makes to the wheels.
The speed sensor on a 1999 Taurus is on top of the transmission. It is located directly under the number 2 cylinder.
I've had my 1994 Taurus LX with a 3.8L up to 130mph. I bought a 1996 Taurus GL "safety edition" a year ago and the speed is electronically limited to 111mph :(
If its a 3.0L V6 Vulcan Approximate speed with appropriate tires, no passengers and no additional weight. 105 MPH.
The Taurus is electonically limited to a top speed of around 105-107 mph. (Not always true! Ive put my dad's 2003 or 2004 up to the 120 mark, and it kept on accelerating, but speedometer didnt go higher.)
The top speed of the Ford Model A was 75 mph.
The top speed of the 2001 Ford F150 top speed can be from 105 mph to 155mph.
It is easiest removed from the top.
top speed of the ford cougar is 140 mph
It depends on the year and if it is a stock model or Sho of the vehicle. It is best to purchase a repair manual for the specific vehicle. Usually you have to remove fan, transmission cooler, fan shroud, and then can remove the hoses and mounting bolt and pull it out the top.
