Which you should read depends on what denomination of Christianity you subscribe to. If you are Protestant, the King James version is likely to be for you - it is the most influential version and that translation is also the one which gives us the most beautiful biblical turns of phrase. Catholics have a different Bible with a different ending to the Lord's Prayer and a few books of The Bible which are absent in the Protestant ones.

To find out which is actually true, I'm afraid you won't know till you are dead. It might turn out you should have been reading the Qur'an or listening to the Buddhists all along - or, indeed, that the atheists got it right.
