I'm not a doctor, but I am very familiar with ADHD. I've never heard of such a classification.
There are three types of ADHD: inattentive, hyperactive/impulsive or both. The predominately inattentive subtype relates to people who have trouble focusing on items that aren't of particular interest to them for more than a short period of time. The hyperactive/impulsive subtype refers to a person who can't sit still and control their impulses. Both is, of course, both of these types put together.
Stimulant medicaitons, the kind that is used to treat ADHD most commonly, can be used for each of these three classifications.
Yes, there is a difference. Boys tend to follow the classic stereotype of ADHD, hyperactivity or impulsiveness. Girls tend to be more inattentive.
Not necessarily. hyperactivity is a part of ADHD but hyperactivity it self is not adhd. This must be diagnosed by a medical professional and the subject may have adhd or is just a hyper type of person.

The same ones for ADHD hyperactivity sub-type such as Adderall, Vyvanse, Concerta, Strattera, etc. Sometimes antidepressants such as Prozac can aid in the inattentive subtype as well.
ADHD should only be diagnosed by a professional. Frank Barnhill, M.D., author of Mistaken for ADHD, listed nearly 50 conditions in his book that can be mistaken for ADHD. Dr. Barnhill said irritability, hyperactivity, poor memory and bad grades are classic ADHD symptoms, but they can be also symptoms of sleep apnea, thyroid disorders, food allergies, seizures and learning disabilities. ADHD diagnoses are rising at nearly 3% per year according to the Centers For Disease Control, which could mean as many as 9 million kids with ADHD in 2010.
Several different diets can minimize the symptoms of ADHD. These include a gluten free diet and low sugar diet. You can learn more about diets for ADHD here: http://www.adhdawareness.com/control-ADHD-with-diet.html.
