All I want to know is how much does the 1858-1958 canadian silver dollar british columbia edition coin cost
15 dollars
Please check again and post a new question. Canada didn't have its own coinage until 1858.
there is no 1858. there is no 1958!
About $55.
1858 is a "holy grail" date for US silver dollars. Retail values as of 06/2014 begin at $6,000 and top out at over $50,000. In average condition it could bring around $12,000. In any case it would have to be examined and verified by one of the major grading agencies to be sure it's not a fake.
Most likely, the hole was created by someone, and if you think it was an accident at the mint, then stop reading here. if i were you, i would sell that half dime for the price of silver used
There was no Australian currency prior to 1911. What you probably have is a traders token. There were several One Penny tokens minted in 1858 for various Melbourne traders. You may have something of value, if you can identify the token properly.
I found an 1858 patented Mason's jar and would like to know the value if any?
There's no such coin. First, the Liberty Seated design used on dimes, quarters, halves, and dollars in the mid-19th century was created by Christian Gobrecht. Charles Barber's famous image of Miss Liberty appeared in 1892 on dimes, quarters and halves but never on silver dollars. Second, no US silver dollars were struck for circulation in 1858. Only 300 proof coins were made that year and those that remain are considered to be extremely rare.
