Depending on condition, exact configuration and any accessories; value range of a few hundred to a few thousand USD.
1st generation refers to date manufactured........... early colt SAA merely had a serial number. latter, as with 2d generation , colt placed a SA.....in front of serial number. then colt put the SA after the serial number. Current production puts the S before the serial number and the A after the serial number. Somewhat confusing..................First generation colt 1873 single action army pistols were made from 1873 until 1941. Early models were known as "pinched frame" models because of the single screw which held the cylinder pin in the frame. About 1891, this system was improved on when a side screw was added on the frame to replace the frame screw which was located in the front of the frame.
made about 1904. In 32 cal. value depends on condition

early colt revolvers are always in demand. however, price is based on condition. The better the condition the higher the price. You might want to ask a colt dealer about a 1850 colt price. Try: felix@bedians.com
1st generation colts deals with the early model, 1870's up to about 1940's. second generation deals with time from about 1950's to about 1960's. 3d generalion deals with all colt from 1960's on. My dates may not be correct, but you see the time frame has to deal with 1,2,and3d generation colts......................... I do not have information concerning the applicable dates which distinguish the generations of Colt SSA's, but am advised that the Colt factory was totally destroyed in a fire in the 1960's resulting in a total loss of all machinery. The new machinery used metric threads for the barrels. This is referred to as the 3rd generation. The 1st and 2nd generation SSA's use non-metric threads. The 1st and 2nd generation parts are interchangeable but not the 3rd generation. (by Arn Fire) In addition, the first generation had the so-called "black powder frame", which had the cylinder pin retaining screw coming into the frame at the front, up at about a 45 degree angle. The second generation "smokeless powder frame" had the cylinder pin retaining screw coming into the frame from the left side at 90 degrees to the frame.
made by Colt 1912 for US Navy. not unusual to see springfield slide on a Colt frame
re-blue deminishes gun value..................
your 45 pistol was made by Ithaca in 1945. if your slide reads Colt that indicats someone put a colt slide on your Ithaca frame, which is not unusual in the military. value depends on over all condition.
probably made by colt in 1943. If your slide reads Ithaca, then it is on a Colt frame. That is not unusual....................
