The value of vintage Ball canning jars varies greatly. A Ball freezer jar is valued at $12.00. Ball clear square and round mason jars go for $10.00. A two-quart blue Ball canning jar is currently going for $24.00, while a Ball Ideal 1/2 quart aqua jar is $28.00.

These mom jars circa 1975 were made in Columbus, Ohio.
Midland Mason jars were made for the 1975 canning season only and to my knowledge, in quarts only. They are worth about $10 today, but are worth keeping since they will undoubtedly appreciate in value. We keep all our antique jars in service and I have one Midland jar on our canning shelf full of green beans.

as far as i know a mason jar is a jar that is typically used for canning certin foods and liguids. The jars usually have the lid that is two pieces and the top has a rubber linner inside and the other part is threaded to screw on.
Atlas canning jars were made in the early 1900s-1920s. They were mass produced, therefore don't have exhorbitant value though people do collect them.

Unless the jar is date stamped (rare) all you will get is a ballpark date. And, that is the early 1900's.
