I just paid $40 for one... it's not in amazing condition (kind of dirty/rusty on the outside). But it works.
I found one selling on eBay and they were asking $45.99.
Not sure but the 626 model is from 1966.
how to sew a straight stitch with a singer 413
I do not know what it is worth, but it will be worth way more if you have the machine cleaned up and in working condition.
It values the singer of the sewer so singing while you sew would make the value go down so try singing in a lighter tone or at least sing something good.
I just purchased one at an auction. Nice cabinet and working machine for $10.00

Sew
You have to turn your fabric around. It doesn't come with a reverse on the machine, so you need to sew from about an inch from the end, and sew to the end and turn the fabric so you can sew the rest of the seam.
Singer has manuals for many of the White models on their web site.
If you buy a modern one. look for one that says it fits singer slant needle machines. If you prefer to hunt thrift stores or ebay, look for attachment boxes for the 401, 403, 500, 503, 600, 603 and most of the touch and sew machines. If they include a ruffler, it should fit the 500.
