The beta is cold. It is probably not eating alot and is not very active as well. Purchase a micro heater and a thermometer as betas require a temperature of 70-80 f.
It can mean that they are too hot and are trying to cool down, or it may be a sign that they want more water.

You can determine if an egg is bad by performing a simple float test. Fill a bowl with water and gently place the egg in it. If the egg sinks and lays flat on the bottom, it is fresh. If it stands upright or floats, it is likely bad and should be discarded.

Am not familiar with that type vehicle, but I have had that problem. If your vehicle has a carbruator with a sediment bowl, it could possible be water in the bowl. This would allow gas to flow over the top of the water until you start to accelerate too much and draw the water from the bowl. After engine quits the water settles back to bottom of bowl and you can restart engine, as the gas lays on the top of the water. Worth a look. josney613@hotmail.com
