It probably is the igniton switch that needs to be adjusted. It is down on the steering column under the dash. Loosten the mounting screws and slide the switch either up or down to where when it engages the starter it is jully turned foreward and you can still get the radio to come on is acc position.

No, the ignition switch is not located in the tumbler assembly. If the key is stuck try turning the steering wheel each way while at the same time turning the key. If it will not come out then something is wrong with the assembly.
the tumblers have gotten out of sync, you'll probably have to have a new ignition switch put in
YOU simply shut off the power switch to the radio and then turn off the ignition switch and when you restart the truck it should come out as long as the radio power is off
Depends on make, model, and year.
Replace your ignition lock assembly.
If the key is stuck in the ignition you will need to get it looked at by the dealer. One temporary solution is to pop off the cap next to the shifter console and you should be able to remove the key by sticking a pen in there.
My oldsmobubble's ignition was stuck due to a factory setting of some kind that was starting to malfunction from an electronic short. They said they would have to take apart steering column to fix, etc.$$$$
Some starters required a shim or spacer that may still be attached to the old starter. Or if the spacer was stuck to the engine and the new starter had its own, you may have installed two spacers instead of one by mistake. Another possibility is that the wiring connections on the starter solenoid are incorrect.
