I just had that problem with my 1998 olds, it is either the thermostat, the water pump, or your fans are not working to cool down the engine. narrow it down by starting with the thermostat, then check to see if your cooling fan fuse is not burned out, then go to autozone and they will check your water pump for free. Can you show me a diagram of the upstream oxygen sensor on a 3.5l liter Oldsmobile Intrigue engine?
The oxygen sensor on a 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue 3.3 liter is in the exhaust manifold/pipes
The 3.5 Liter motor was optional in 1999. From 2000-2002 the only motor offered was the 3.5 L.
beneath a plate that's bolted on,first thing you see when standing in front of car looking at engine
I have a 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue 3.5 liter, I will like to know were the Timing chain marks.
A 3.8 of the same series from any GM Division. 3.4 do not share the same bolt pattern. 3.5 Intrigue engines are only in certain Intrigues and Auroras, and do not share the bolt battern with 3.8s. But this comes from someone who has put a 455 Toro in the rear of an S10, and a W-41 in a Fiero. Anything goes in anything if you are creative. :)
that would be 5.7 Liter
The 2001 General Motors (Oldsmobile Division) Intrigue came equipped with the 3.5L engine and 4-speed automatic transmission FWD. One method of purging air from the cooling system after repairs and flushing it involves refilling it, and running the motor and heater, and leaving the radiator pressure cap off to 'burp' off the air trapped inside.
You need to replace the entire assembly . done mine 2 ours joe
140 horsepower
Do you have a Check Engine, or Service Engine Soon light on your dash? The 2 are related. Run it by your local autozone, and ask them to pull the codes for it. They can tell you if its serious or not. Or you can take it by AAMCO, I believe they have a transcheck 21 thing, and don't charge for it.
V6 3.8 liter.
