Sam,you need to be a bit more specific for any help on this.Fuses can blow for several reasons, just being old is one.Try to isolate which fuse is blowing and what you have just switched on to cause it.Most fuses protect more than one circuit so you need to ascertain which component is faulty or may have a short circuit. Also ensure fuses fitted are the correct rating, consult your handbook for this.No good putting a 5amp in where a 25amp needed.
Your ground or power can be hooked up wrong....or the fuses might not be big enough...mine was having the same problem!
the control cable probably came off the connector
Unless you have a loose connection on the multi-pin plug to the switch, causing arcing. The cause is probably overload on the wiper motor.Do the wipers appear to be slower than normal when operating? You could have a faulty motor, they don't last forever. If you remove the water deflector,(plastic moulding across front scuttle)you gain access to the motor and linkage.Try a drop of oil on each of the linkage pivot joints and down the wheelbox shafts under the wiper arms.Any tightness could cause fuse blowing overload.
If your wipers keep blowing the fuses on your 1998 Nissan Altima, it could be a short or the wrong fuse being used. You may have a short in the wiring or the wiper switch, a bad ground wire, or loose wiring.
If your fuses continue to blow then you may have the wrong size in the fuse. You should double check to make sure you have the fuses in the right slot and that the voltage is correct.
theres a short somewhere most likely bad ground
there's either a short or u have the wrong size fuse and u need a 25 where there's a 20. Sometimes when you have a chrome lighter in the socket it will blow the fuses so if you have a chrome lighter just take it out and they should stop blowing.
Fuel pump is defective and needs replacing.
I have a 95 pathfinder and had the same problem with fuel pump fuses blowing. It turned out to be that the fuel sending unit had to be replaced. . Try cleaning the six contacts on top of the sender unit make sure they are isolated
Locked up compressor, or defective compressor clutch.
you most likely have a loose or unattached ground wire to some major component.
Car not blowing air or heat
