Other more serious stuff: my Saturn, however, had the more serious stuff. It appeared to be a short in the steering column which would result in the steering going out with a quiet click whenever the wheel was held in a certain position. Unfortunately, that position was straight ahead. I contacted GM about this and they would not help. Service requires the replacement of the steering column, at about $1000.
