There is a blockage in the fuel pipe.
No, the fuel would still be pumped to the engine but it would be at the wrong pressure at the injectors.
depends on the wrong fuel you put in it. There are a lot of different fuels. In general, if you put the wrong fuel in the engine, if its a higher octane it will over rev and blow up. If its a lower octane, it will puddle and flood the system.
There is gas pouring on the engine. You have a fuel leak.
fuel pump, wiring, relay, clogged filter, kinked fuel line.
No, but a defective fuel cap can set the "check engine" light to come on.
Fuel lines, carrying fuel.
Fuel pump
More than likely not, but the engine will not run correctly or will stop all together, and it for sure has no benefit whatsoever. In short, don't put the wrong fuel in your vehicle. If a significant amount of the wrong fuel does wind up in your tank, have the haul the bike to a repair shop lest you ruin the fuel pump or get stranded by the roadside.
IS the check engine light on? The computer has the capability of putting the car in a "limp home mode" if somethign is wrong. If no check engine light, your fuel filter may be clogged and blocking fuel or the fuel pump is getting weak.
If you put just a few pints of the wrong fuel into more than a half-full tank of the right fuel, the engine will run rough and not accelarate as expected. But, if more than half a tank-full of the wrong fuel was put in by mistake, DO NOT START THE ENGINE because, if you do try to start it, it is likely that serious damage would be done - to the engine, the fuel pump and several other parts - and the repair bill to fix it all would be very expensive! For more information see the answer to the Related Question shown below.
The obvious answer would be that its not getting fuel. Have the fuel filters been changed?
If it is fuel injected it is mounted on top and inside the fuel tank. If it is carburated then follow the fuel line to the engine and it will go right to the fuel pump mounted on the engine block.
