Digital display thermostat battery(s) need replacing
We'll assume that your thermostat is digital. One, the battery may have failed, or it may be weak. Two, circuitry in the unit may have failed. You may have a defective thermostat, and you should perhaps consult the manufacturer or supplier.
There is either a problem with the downstairs thermostat, or the wiring from that thermostat to the unit. First check the batteries in the thermostat. Yes the digital ones have batteries. :-) Next, if that doesn;t fix it, try switching your two thermostats. Be careful to wire them exactly as they were before. If your heat now works downstairs and not upstairs, replace the thermostat. If the problem remains unchanged and you still have heat up and not down - check your thermostat wiring. The voltage is low so a simple voltmeter can be used to confirm continuity from the end where it goes into the furnace to the end where it connects to the thermostat. If the wire checks out and the problem is not the thermostat, then call a licnesed professinal - youhave bigger problems.
Wrong thermostat? Wrong installation procedure?
Digital thermostats are good for any place whether it be an apartment or a mansion because they can effectively help cut costs from you electric bill. Digital thermostats will shut off at proper programmed settings, instead of continuously producing heat.
To answer your question, Yes and No. Yes it is an available option however you may have a stripped down model.. Don't get me wrong I have had the digital dash and experienced problems. And have also had the standard dash and had no problems. So yes it does, no you may not have it on your model..
Often it requires an air filter change.
Could be a bad thermostat.
If you entered them wrong then it will display on the webpage. Or if you use word then it will.
There could be several things wrong with the system that the thermostat gauge is connected to. You could check to see if the gauge is working correctly. If the gauge works fine, then it could be the housing that the thermostat is mounted to. It could also be a faulty bypass valve near the thermostat which prevents the engine from heating up. Check these places to see what may be wrong with your escort.
sounds like you installed new thermostat upside down if that's not the problem, you have wrong or faulty new thermostat to test thermostat out of vehicle, place in pot of boiling water and watch to see if thermostat opens
it depends whats wrong with it
sounds like your thermostat might be sticking open ( or wrong or no thermostat )
