That light flashes when there is a malfunction in the sentry key system. You could have the wrong or a failed key.
if it flashes when using brakes, nothing is wrong the system is doing what it should. if the light is always on, the system needs repair.
you left your emergency flasher on overnight
you need a new transfer case
First of all, if your light is on, something is wrong, even if it's just a sensor that tells your light to come on. I would recommend getting a General Motors computer reading thing that you plug into your dashboard that flashes the light to a code. Then you can diagnose what's wrong.
the eng light flashes three times then a short pos and then another seven times. What could be wrong. This is the only code that shows up after that it flashes five times and then another five. Torque converter clutch solenoid.
Since the check engine light comes on, start by having the code pulled from the computer that is causing the check engine light to come on. Most auto parts stores will do this for free and tell you what might be wrong.
Its all wrong
If you see a light on the dashboard that flashes the word 'TRAC', then it is the traction control telling you that the car is struggling to find traction. If it flashed constantly, there may be something wrong with one of your tyres.
The check engine or service engine soon light comes on to alert you that there is or was a problem with the emissions system on your vehicle. If the light comes on steady and stays on, it means that there is a problem and you should have it checked out soon. If it comes on and flashes, it means you will cause damage if you continue driving.
Something not right with the transmition, its letting you know. its putting out a coad. the people at the shop can hook it up to the computer and let you know whats going wrong.
