What is wrong with a 2001 ford ranger if it starts and dies over and over again and can't keep it running?

My 2001 Ranger did the same thing. I had a vacuum hose with a crack in it. If that is the problem,you can take a small piece of curved radiator hose and two clamps to fix it. It is a cheap and effective way to fix it.
