Hard to say. If you mean it keeps running after you turn the key off it sounds like it's all carboned up. The carbon (inside the cylinders) gets hot and acts like little spark plugs and keeps the engine running and knocking a while. If it does this all the time I suggest you do a compression check to see if it has a bad timing chain.

There is a magnetic switch in the steering lock/ key switch. If it is weak it will do that. If it dose leave the key on for 10 min. The light will quit blinking, turn key off and start motor. This is a dealer fix. Parts are up ward of $700. I just wait the 10 and go on my way

Check the ignition switch and the coil resistor if the Honda has one. When the starter is engaged there is a direct connection to the coil. The intention is to give the coil a little more voltage when the starter is engaged. If the ignition switch isn't connecting properly you won't run when you release the starter.
