My CPU is Athlon ii x3 455 but I unlocked the 4th core and it is phenom ii x4 b55
but when I test it out on passmark, I get a score of 1267 and when unlocked, 1840. all the baselines are 2600 and unlocked 3900 what is wrong with my CPU?? and when I play games (crysis), it doesn't go to full load... just stays in between 20-35%. Can someone please tell me what the problem is? If you don't know what you are talking about, please don't answer.
I somehow could not write this on my question so I'm writing it here.
well you'd need to tell us the 'symptoms' of your CPU to 'diagnose' it
Many/most motherboards have a separate power connector for the CPU. Check your motherboard's installation instructions to locate the CPU power connector. Then connect the matching power supply cable to the CPU power connector on the motherboard.
You are the one who's wrong! They actually hit you with too.
You have problems with either your hard drive or your CPU. It looks like it's CPU problem. Check the CPU radiator, clean it if it has some dust, aslo you will have to remove it in order to check therma paste which is between the CPU and the radiator. If it's dry and not flexible you have to clean the CPU and radiator from the paste and put new one. You can purchase a paste online.
It has a white Triangle The previous answer is quite useless. The triangle marks where pin 1 is on the CPU. When installing a CPU into the socket, the installer lines up the triangles so the CPU fits correctly into the socket.
when the CPU is working and we get all the data which was in our computer, then we come to know that it is working or not.
It over heated and you probably fried the CPU.
Press CTRL-ALT-DELETE and click on Task Manager. Go to the Processes tab and look for which process is taking up 100% CPU. Then search on Google for "processname.exe 100% cpu"
If you know that it is the CPU (central processing unit) that is not functioning, it can be replaced by the same type and speed CPU. Depending on the age of the computer and the availability and cost of replacement. A better choice may be to just get a new computer. A CPU failure is rare unless something else goes wrong that caused the CPU to fail. If so, the replaced CPU will also fail the same way You should check to make sure the power supply and other components are working properly.
CPU is the "commonly known as" name of that component. Either CPU or Processor. The acronym CPU stands for "Central Processing Unit". The previous answer of "mother bored" is completely wrong for 2 reasons: 1) it is "motherboard" or "mother board" 2) the CPU is a required add-on component TO the motherboard, not the motherboard itself.
CPU protection is one who protect the CPU. and the one who destroy the CPU also is the one who protect the CPU and the one who destroy the CPU is the one who protect the CPU and the one who destroy the CPU is the who protect the CPU and the one who destroy the CPU is the one who protect the CPU and the one who destroy the CPU is the who protect the CPU and the one who destroy the CPU is the one who protect the CPU and the one who destroy the CPU is the one who protect the CPU.
This indicates that one of the CPUs or CPU cores is damaged or malfunctioning, or that the system cannot run with incorrect settings and must be set to use the number of CPUs it actually has.
BIOS of what component? your graphics card will have a BIOS, the CPU will have a BIOS. If there is nothing wrong with yours don't bother replacing it.
