I would say you have blown a brake wheel cylinder in the rear. The pedal going down means you probably are only using the front to brake now and the pedal going down is what sets off the brake icon in the dash. You could have blown out a piston seal in the front.....also.... so I would say look for fluid on the inside of the wheel or tire. If you dont' see a leak, I would still pull off all 4 wheels and check it out, and meanwhile look at your master cylinder and look at the fluid level.
