You are probably going through an experience that many aquarists go through. You little guy is going through a natural process, which is changing color. The genes in a fish tell the scales to fall off and grow one of a different color. It could be that or it could be Neon Tetra Disease. This is a parasite problem. It attacks the small intestine. You should see swelling in your goldfish and erratic swimming. If you do, immediately quarantine the fish. There is no known cure for this, so just lose one fish instead of all the others. This disease can be passed on. Check the PH level in your tank. Goldfish tend to have problems if the PH is outside 6.4 or 8.8. Buy a water tester at a pet store. Or, if you didn't have a filter, change the water every day or so. Poop can build up and cause problems. (Goldfish eat it!). If you do have a filter, check it and clean any debris out of it. Old fish food drifting around in the tank also prove as a malefactor. Check the food you are feeding it. If it is old, then change it. Vitamins deteriorate over time in fish food, so, yeah...
Hope your little guy is all right! Good luck!
Lack of sunlight will cause pigmentation loss and a white or silvering of the body. Exposing the fish to sunlight or aquarium lights should help. I'd also recommend improving the fishes diet, doing more water changes, and feeding fruits and veggies. If this doesn't help try feeding the fish some freeze-dried krill- it contains a chemical that improves the coloring of goldfish.
If your goldfish is left in the dark for a long time, it will eventually turn silver. Maybe this is the problem. It is harmless to the fish.
it seems they are brown but they are atchally silver and shimmery in the light so if it does turn silver try turning the light off for a while
Nothing. A goldfish is a goldfish, not a gold fish.
because its about to die :( soz
silver
No. There is nothing wrong with a homosexual goldfish. Take good care of him.
What is wrong when your toenail starts turning green?
probably- cheese
There are a couple of reasons why a goldfish's gills would start to turn outwards and begin turning in the other direction. This can make breathing difficult for the fish, so you must fix what's wrong. You should consider getting larger bowl or tank for the fish. This could be one cause. Another could be poor water quality. Ask your local fish store if they can test your water for you to see how it can be adjusted.
