No 1964 U.S. quarters were copper clad. They were all 90% silver (it was the last year for silver quarters).

The other possibility is an error where the coin was struck on an incorrect blank, but there are very few errors of that type. Without seeing your coin I can't tell you for certain why your coin seems to be silver, but the US mint didn't make silver halves in 1972.

This man left out that if the mint that it comes from marks the letter "S"standing for San Francisco, then it is not silver. I have the same coin that says "P" for Philadelphia making it void as to being Silver. The coins simply seems to be without copper. Check the letter. I'm taking it this weekend to several coin shops for another opinion. I've seen one all copper before which was worth a lot.

What would a North Dakota US State quarter that was misstruck worth?
Additional Information to my Question: My North Dakota US State quarter seems to have been struck incorrectly. It looks normal until you look on the side with the bison on it. At the 4 o'clock point (like where the 4 on a clock would be), the edge makes a sort of "trapezoid" like shape along the edge. It is raised up, as if it were not pressed down completely. I was wondering if it was worth anything. End of Question
