there is one sold on Ebay for $3900. There is a website that is specializing in antique clocks saying that if it is a Herschede Hall 9 tubular bell movement clock, insure it at minimum of $20,000. The model number is 230, one of the top line superior to any other clocks. The company had to stop production in 1984 because people started buying cheaper clocks as Herschedes are very expensive.
It is a rare model and worth about $25K!
Howard Mfg Co. was started in 1959 in Starkville, Ms. by Carl "Chick" Howard. His wife's name was Myrle. His children are Paul and Carlene and they reside in Texas. The company sold to Flex Steel in the late 1980's. John Robert Arnold financed the company adventure. Herschede Hall Clock Co. was a division of Arnold industries. Howard's made family room furniture and sold across the nation. Carl and Myrle passed away in 1995. I know about this company because I am their son. Thanks for your interest. Paul Howard
