How do you set the time on sharp accu-set clock model spc991?

I have an SPC991 round clock. It has a way to enter the current time manually, the date (XX, XX, 20XX). I have included the back pic of the clock. 1. I removed the 2032 button type battery, and the 2 AA batteries. 2. I put in a new 2032 battery and selected SET from the lowest selector switch on the back. 3. I manually moved the clock hands to 12:00 using the rotating button on the back. NOTE: the AA batteries are left out during this step. 4. Use the mode button and toggle between the digital settings to select the time and date. Once you have done this, to get the year correct I had to cycle the years 2 times. If you hold down on the correct +/- button it will enter a rapid count down on the years, then release it when you are close to the correct year and use the - button one press at a time to get down to the correct year. Once that was set the clock immediately showed the correct month, date, and automatically chose the correct day of the week. Then I inserted 2 new AA batteries and the clock is doing a fast wind up to the correct time. The pic I posted has the rotary clock adjustment for the hands (upper middle), the 2032 button battery (lower left), the click switches (lower middle) and the AA batteries middle right.
