My opinion is that cancer is as fascinating as it is cruel. Cancer exists when some of the body's cells stop listening to orders and start growing out of control. They command new blood vessels to be constructed to them to feed them constantly. Through holes in these new fragile capillaries they can travel through the blood to other places in the body and eventually kill the affected individual.
Cancer is a large killer of adults likely due to the fact that we have increased our life expectancy. In the past adults died from war, predation and disease at much higher rates than they do now.
The fact that cancers are allowed to kill children is one of the pieces of evidence I cite when destroying the theory of an all loving all controlling god.
